Under the "anti-cloning bill" proposed by Senator Ted Kennedy and supported by Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, a federal police force would have to be created to kill unborn children.

Yes, you read that correctly. Senate bill S. 1758 ,written by Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and sponsored by Senators Kennedy (D-MA), Clinton (D-NY), Corzine (D-NJ) and others would approve human cloning for "therapeutic purposes" but would ban the actual implantation of the cloned embryo into the womb of a woman. What does this mean? The bill simply puts the stamp of approval on cloning and then states that the cloned child may not be born.

There are two other "clone and kill" bills. One such bill, S.1893, written by Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa, is cosponsored by Republican Senator Spector of Pennsylvania. Senator Tim Johnson is a cosponsor of the other "clone and kill" bill, S. 2076 which was written by Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND).

The real anti-cloning bill was authored by Senator Sam Brownback and has the support of 28 other Senators, all but one of them Republicans. The only Democrat cosponsoring the bill is Landrieu of Louisiana. Senator Landrieu is a liberal. She won office six years ago in an election that was fraudulent even by Louisiana standards. Fearing defeat in her conservative state now that elections there can’t easily be rigged, she has moved to a more conservative position this election year.

Senator Brownback’s bill, S 1899, would ban all human cloning. It would be against the law to create a cloned human for any purpose. The other bills that claim to ban cloning either limit the time period during which the cloned baby may be allowed to live in the test tube or deny the cloned baby the right to life by forbidding implantation in a woman’s womb.

How would scientists be stopped from placing the cloned baby in a womb if they were allowed to create it by law? Some federal agency, perhaps the FBI, would have to set up a unit to check the status of clones to make sure they were killed and not implanted in a womb.

What goes through the mind of Senators such as Ted Kennedy or Hillary Clinton to have logic that would permit the creation of human life only if it is to be destroyed?

President George W. Bush has made his support for a total ban of human cloning clear. I was personally in the White House on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 to hear the President’s remarks.

"Life is a creation, not a commodity," said the president. "Our children are gifts to be loved and protected, not products to be designed and manufactured. Allowing cloning would be taking a significant step toward a society in which human beings are grown for spare body parts, and children are engineered to custom specifications; and that's not acceptable," he continued.

With that statement the President gave his complete and unconditional support to the bill written by Senators Brownback (R-KS) and Landrieu (D-LA) banning all forms of cloning.

Both scientists and religious leaders who were present in the East Room of the White House for the President's remarks interrupted him several times with applause as he reiterated the need for America to improve human life with science while maintaining human dignity.

Present at the White House for the President’s remarks were Senators and congressmen of both parties. Among the religious leaders present were Dr. Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention, Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, numerous Catholic leaders and myself representing the Religious Freedom Coalition.

President Bush has wide public support of his comments. The Polling Company in a poll after the President’s remarks found that 63% agreed with the President, with 48% being in "strong" agreement. Women were more likely that men to support President Bush on this issue. A full 68% all women and 70% of married women support the President’s desire for a complete ban on cloning.

Overall 70% of women say they would not vote for a candidate who supported human cloning. Despite this the vast majority of Democrat Senators support human cloning. But, many of these pro-cloning Senators are lying to their constituents.

Senator Hillary Clinton’s office in New York is telling constituents that she is supporting a bill that "would ban the cloning of human beings." This is a half truth at best. Hillary does support the bill that would forbid the actual birth of a cloned child, but she supports the cloning of humans for experimentation and the growing of spare parts.

Even post-communist Russia has banned cloning. On April 18th the Russian Duma voted unanimously to ban human cloning and the importation of cloned embryos. Although the Russian law allows for a review in five years, it is still better than the bills supported by Senators Daschle, Kennedy and Clinton in the United States.

The worst case scenario for the Daschle, Kennedy and Clinton backed cloning bills would be "neo-morts," or "brain dead" late term fetuses or newborns kept alive and growing as research tools or as sources of valuable human cells or tissues.

The Religious Freedom Coalition is best known for its work on issues involving freedom of expression for Christians in the United States and throughout the world. But the work of the RFC works with other social conservative organizations on Capitol Hill and in the White House on issues important to Christians. The issue of cloning is important because it poses a direct threat to the very principles of living given to us by the God who created us.

Prior to the White House event which I attended featuring the statement by President Bush, the Religious Freedom Coalition was already working on the issue of cloning. Our legislative director in Washington, DC, Candace Wheeler, has worked almost daily on the cloning issue. Candace has attended Senate hearings and lobbied directly with Senators to try to win their votes for Senator Brownback’s bill.

The traditional location for the birthplace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has been defiled by Muslim gunmen. During the occupation of the Church of the Nativity by Muslim gunmen, the national news media lied about the situation inside the church.

When Israel invaded the West Bank to capture and destroy bomb factories and to arrest the leaders of Islamic terrorist organizations, several dozen heavily armed Muslims took over the Church of the Nativity and used it to shield themselves from the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). The IDF is perhaps the most humane army on the face of the Earth. They have never used heavy bombers to fight terrorists as has the United States. Rather the IDF goes house to house searching for specific terrorist leaders.

On the other hand, Muslim terrorists frequently use women and children as walking bombs and during combat even hide behind women and children as they fire upon the IDF. So it is no surprise that these Muslim terrorist gunmen took refuge inside a church that they knew the IDF would not bomb.

The world media, led by the anti-Semites at CNN, continually blamed the IDF for the confrontation at the church. Numerous times CNN claimed that all the priests and monks in the church complex had stayed inside voluntarily with the Muslim gunman. CNN and the Washington Post also reported that the priests and monks were well treated and that the Muslims had taken care not to damage the church in any way. That was a lie.

This big media lie was exposed on April 24th when three of the monks in the church escaped by climbing on top of a roof top. If the three monks were there voluntarily, why did they have to escape? CNN did not report the escape and they did not report what the three elderly monks had to say.

One of the monks, Narkiss Korasian, told reporters: "They stole everything, they opened the doors one by one and stole everything ... They stole prayer books and four crosses ... They didn’t leave anything." Then the three monks publicly thanked the IDF soldiers for helping them to escape off the roof.

Palestinian Muslims produced chemical and biological weapons to target Israeli population centers as well as national water reservoirs, a senior source" told the Ynet Hebrew news web site in late April.

According to the source, Israeli troops discovered chemical and biological weapons during Operation Defensive Shield. The weapons were formulated from materials - including potash and cyanide - purchased within Israel.

This production of chemical and biological weapons has never been reported in the Western newspapers which I find odd considering the fear in the United States provoked by the anthrax attack right after the September 11th Islamic Jihad attack upon the United States.

Fanatical Islamic nations continue to experiment with and manufacture chemical and biological weapons. Since the end of the Cold War and collapse of communism, the civilized word has discontinued the manufacture of these types of weapons. But experimentation and manufacture of these grotesque types of weapons continues in Iran and Iraq and now, we discover, in the shadow of the most holy place on earth, Jerusalem.

There is a great political and philosophical divide in the Republican Party and in the White House. Listening to their public statements on the Jews and Muslims, one would think that two different governments were in control of our foreign policy. Is this the fault of the President or the fault of those he relies upon for information?

Most of the information the President receives on foreign affairs comes from two sources, the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency. The State Department is run by Secretary of State Colin Powell, the former army general who believes that a signed paper can better defend the nation than a sword. Secretary Powell is not pro-Israel and it seems he can see no difference between the elected leaders of Israel and the despots that run the Muslim nations of the world.

On the other hand the CIA is telling Bush that we face a real Muslim threat and that there is a probability in the future for global war. What is the result of the President receiving such conflicting information and advice from different sources? Read the following statement made by the President the day in April of this year when he hosted the heathen Saudi Prince Abddulla at his Crawford, Texas ranch: "Chairman Arafat has got obligations, and so does the Israelis. And I once again enunciated what those obligations are. So that the crown prince [Abdullah of Saudi Arabia] understands my foreign policy. And it's important that we speak with clarity, and I will continue to do so." The statement was just about as clear as the information given him by Colin Powell. What we need for our Holy Land policy is for President Bush to be President Bush without the gobble speak fed him by the likes of a liberal like Secretary of State Powell.

How bad does it get? The week of April 22nd Colin Powell demanded that Majority Whip Tom DeLay pull a congressional resolution supporting Israel. Colin Powell told DeLay that the resolution which called for "solidarity with Israel in its fight against terrorism" would undermine "peace" efforts he was conducting.

When Tom DeLay balked at withdrawing the resolution White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card called him at his home in Texas the weekend before the scheduled vote and told him that "vocal support" of Israel from Congress would not be helpful. Under the pressure DeLay buckled and withdrew the resolution.

Republican "leader" Grover Norquist unfortunately still has allies in the White House. On April 4th he managed to arrange a meeting of "American" Muslims with Secretary of the Treasury O’Neill. At that meeting they complained about how assets of Muslim groups in the United States were being seized just because "some" money had gone to terrorists. One of the organizations which had its funds seized had contributed to the Islamic Institute of which Grover Norquist is cofounder.

Believe it or not, Norquist has the White House convinced that it was the Muslim vote in Florida that won Bush the election. This of course is nonsense. More African-Americans in Florida voted for Bush that did Muslims. There just are not that many Muslims that can vote legally. (Keep in mind that 90% of Arab-Americans are Christians who have escaped Muslim oppression somewhere in the world. Often you may hear "Arab-American" and "Muslim-American" used interchangeable, but nothing could be further from the truth.)

Norquist’s sales pitch for the Muslims is simple, "They are natural Republicans because of their moral values, for example, because they do not tolerate homosexuality." He fails to mention that they also don't tolerate Christians and Jews.

Ironically Jews have been flocking to the Republican Party since the Jihad attack against the United States in September. Jews outnumber Muslims in the United States by about ten to one. The Republican Party is far better off recruiting Jews than Muslims, particularly when many of the Muslims in the United States cannot legally vote.

At the same time the Republican Party is recruiting Muslims because they are "naturals" on moral values, Vice President Cheney’s lesbian daughter has been hired to recruit homosexuals into the GOP.

You just don’t believe this do you? Neither did I until I checked it out. Who got the bright idea to recruit Muslims and homosexuals into the same political party? They actually behead homosexuals in Saudi Arabia. Did someone forget to tell this to Grover Norquist?

In any event, Mary Cheney has been hired by the new Republican Unity Coalition. Explaining her group’s goals she said, "We can expand the party’s outreach to non-traditional Republicans; we can make sexual orientation a non-issue for the party; and we can help achieve equality for all gay and lesbian Americans." She made her comments about her new job to "gay conservative commentator" Andrew Sullivan in a report on the homosexual news site www.365gay.com. She joined the advisory board along with former President Gerald Ford and homosexual Republican congressman Jim Koble, R-AZ. (By the way, former President Ford supports the Democrat "clone and kill" bill mentioned above.)

The Republican Unity Coalition was formed to "build bridges" between gay Republicans and the George W. Bush Administration. This is Ms. Cheney’s first active political role since working on her father’s political campaign for vice president. Prior to this she was the "lesbian liaison" for the Coors Brewing Company. The Coors family bills itself as pro-family and has contributed funds to conservative organizations in Washington, (but not to our organization).
