LEGISLATIVE UPDATE - WEEK ENDING NOVEMBER 26, 2004

HOUSE AND SENATE IN RECESS UNTIL 12/06/2004?

A PSALM OF THANKSGIVING

1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
2Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;[1]
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

Psalm 100 -NKJV

Real Meaning of Thanksgiving

The documents below clearly show the meaning of Thanksgiving as intended by the nation's Founders. Today in most public schools God is not mentioned and Thanksgiving becomes a historical event rather than a Christian celebration of thanks to God. Please pass the document links on to others or print them out for distribution.

CONGRESS

Next week we will return to our normal weekly legislative updates which will include information on the new 109th Congress to convene in January. (The current Congress may be back on December 6th to work on the Intelligence bill, but this is not a certainty at this point.)

CHRISTMAS AT RFC

Christmas Internet Store Open

Each year the Religious Freedom Coalition offers an expanded selection of items at our Internet store, many of them related to our work. This week http://gallery.bcentral.com/GID4906989P1933577-Holy-Land-Items/Handmade-Complexion-Soap-From-Samaria.aspxwe are http://gallery.bcentral.com/GID4906989P3793886-Books/My-Life-Without-God.aspx highlighting the handmade olive oil complexion soap made by Christian families on the West Bank who have no other source of income. The men have been separated from their families because of death warrants issued against them by the Palestinian Authority. Because of our work in the Holy Land, and also with the defense of the public display of the Ten Commandments in the United States, we are offering the Ten Commandments etched in Jerusalem stone. We also have Christmas ornaments and inspirational ties for men. There are also DVD copies of George W. Bush, Faith in the White House still available. Proceeds from sales at our Internet store assist us in our work both in the United States and internationally. AND: My autobiography, My Life Without God, which has sold hundreds of thousands of copies, is once again available at the RFC Internet store. Our store is located at www.rfcstore.com. PLEASE NOTE: Our offices will be closed Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th and will reopen on Monday, November 29th at 9:00 AM EST.
