THE PRESIDENT
Click for larger image of Murray and Snow PRESIDENTIAL ROAD SHOW - I have worked Capitol Hill for decades and yet I have never seen a road show as aggressive as the one being put on by the Bush Administration for "Immigration Reform" (Amnesty for Illegals). In one 24 hour period I was at several meetings in which at least one member of President Bush's Cabinet showed up to push his case for amnesty for 12 million Illegals. At one of those meetings, both his spokesman Tony Snow and Homeland Defense Secretary Chertoff gave a pitch for the bill.

Under the rules of those meetings I am not allowed to directly quote any of the officials I met with. I can honestly say that they did not represent the bill as it is written.

THE ENGLISH ONLY LIE- To push the amnesty bill Administration officials are claiming that it makes English the official language of the United States. The exact opposite is the case. The bill prescribes and codifies that the government and all that do business with the government including states and cities must provide translators in any language at any time. Under the bill the Texas town of Eagle Pass would have to provide services in Persian for an Illegal from Iran. Think about it!

NO IMMIGRANTS FROM IRAQ ALLOWED - Over half of Iraqi Christians have been forced to flee that nation, yet in the last seven months only 69 Iraqis, mostly Muslims, have been allowed by the Bush Administration to Immigrate to the USA. See International article below

THE HOUSE
The Pledge: One Nation Under God THE PLEDGE - My new book, The Pledge: One Nation Under God has been released and is now available online and at bookstores. The book has a forward by Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) who is the primary sponsor of the Pledge Protection Act to keep "under God" in the Pledge. Please order The Pledge from the RFC bookstore, as the funds will be used to help fight to keep "under God" in the Pledge. Click here or on Image to order.

PLAN B KILLED FOR NOW - Pro-abortion Congressman Mike Michaud of Maine attempted to file an amendment to H.R. 1585, the Department of Defense Reauthorization Bill that would have forced military doctors and on-base pharmacists to distribute the "Morning After Pill" which is referred to as Plan B. After strenuous opposition from Catholic and Evangelical groups, he was forced to withdraw the amendment ... BUT ... this is the type of pro-abortion, pro- gay agenda that we must be on guard against with the Democrats in charge of the House.

THE SENATE
UNEDUCATED YES - EDUCATED NO -
The current "immigration Reform" bill is 451 pages long and was written in secret by a handful of Senators and White House officials. There were no committee hearings what-so-ever. The bill was released to Senators less than 72 hours before they were expected to vote on it. The bill is weighted to legalize those who have entered the United States illegally, particularly the illiterate. It also forgives crimes such as tax evasion that US citizens would go to jail for. Oddly, while Mexicans are welcome as illegals the Bush Administration uses the full force of our military to block refugees from communist Cuba from entering the United States. PLEASE FORWARD - Please forward this e- mail to your friends! More people than you think do not understand the danger to our society as a result of the actions of the Senate in granting amnesty to millions of lawbreakers.

RELIGION AND CULTURE
MEMORIAL DAY - Most of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War were fought in and around Fredericksburg, Virginia where I live, including the Battle of Chancelorsville and the Battle of the Wilderness. Tens of thousands of veterans are buried in this small town which is not far from the main Marine base at Quantico. Here, Memorial Day is a time to honor those who served our nation and gave the ultimate sacrifice. For presidential candidate John Edwards, it is a day to lead protests against the War in Iraq. This man is totally out of touch with the concept of remembering the suffering and loss of those who served. Click here for more information.

INTERNATIONAL
CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IN IRAQ - Historic St. Georges' Church in Baghdad was destroyed on Friday, May 18th. A previous attack had heavily damaged the church, as Christians continue to flee increasing oppression by Muslims. More than half of Iraqi Christians have fled the nation but the Bush Administration refuses to allow them to immigrate to the United States.

Noted author and researcher Kenneth Timmerman exposed the continuing deterioration of conditions for Christians in Iraq in a Newsmax article in which I was quoted. Click here to read this important article.

WORLD CONGRESS OF FAMILIES - The final report on the Religious Freedom Coalition's participation in theWorld Congress of Families has been filed by Bob Armstrong. The Religious Freedom Coalition was a co-sponsor of the Congress of pro-life and pro- family groups from around the world as they met to discuss an agenda to stop the secularization of the world.
