SENATE FAILS TO STOP OBAMA TAX HIKE ON CHARITABLE GIVING - Senator John Thune's "Sense of the Senate" resolution expressing support for the current federal income tax deduction for charitable giving was defeated in the Senate Thursday by just one vote. TRENT FRANK'S LETTER ON "DEFAMATION OF RELIGION - The day before the United Nations Human Rights Council voted to criminalize individual rights of freedom of religious expression, Congressman Trent Franks wrote a compelling letter spelling out the dangers of their action. The ACLU and other leftist organizations would file lawsuits and law enforcement would investigate. BUT ... a Muslim only town founded by a man who also founded a terrorist group is just fine with the left and the ACLU.
