THE PRESIDENCY
OBAMA CARE IS BACK - After several high profile defeats and the fastest dropping approval rating of any president in history, Barack Obama still thinks he has a mandate to force socialized medical care on Americans. Senator Scott Brown won in liberal Massachusetts by saying his would be the vote to stop Obama Care, but Barack Obama just does not get it. The White House is writing an all new "Health Care Reform Bill" to be unveiled Monday. President Obama, Senate Leader Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi plan to ram it through on a simple majority vote. Reid will add Obama care as an amendment to a budget bill and pretend that it is not new legislation, just part of the existing budget. Read more
MCCAIN PLANS ANOTHER PRESIDENTIAL RUN? - Senator John McCain has every intention of a rematch with Barack Obama in 2012. He has kept his presidential committee intact and when asked about Gov. Sarah Palin running in 2012 he said, "I'm not dead yet." Nothing could be worse for the conservative cause and the Republican Party in 2012 than to have Senator John McCain at the top of the ticket again. The Senator will be 74 years old this year and 76 when he runs in 2012. The oldest man ever elected to the presidency was Ronald Reagan; he was 70 years old the day he was sworn in as the 41st president of the United States. Am I saying McCain is too old to be president? No, but I do remember Senator Bob Dole running for president in his seventies against a vigorous, younger Bill Clinton. In 1996 just about anyone could have beat Bill Clinton -- except Bob Dole. I believe the error is about to be repeated with an aging Senator running against a vigorous young president. I believe just about any Republican can beat Barack Obama in 2012 -- except John McCain. A VIDEO FOR OBAMA - If President Barack Obama would watch a startling video translated by MEMRI of a "child preacher" on an Egyptian TV program, perhaps his concept of "terror" would change. It is the story of a youth fighting the Byzantines, who longs for martyrdom to meet his "black eyed virgin wife" in Paradise. NOTE: This video was not done by the Taliban, it was on the air as an approved broadcast in "moderate" Egypt. Watch video
DID MUSLIMS ATTACK FT. JACKSON IN DECEMBER? - Shortly after Nidal Hasan's jihad attack at Ft. Hood on November 5th, at least five Islamic translators were "detained" at Ft. Jackson for planning to poison the food supply at that military facility. Because of the jihad attack by Hasan that killed 13 adults plus one unborn baby, the military has put a clamp on all news surrounding the planned attack at Ft. Jackson. I have previously reported that the Army has an all Muslim translator unit (with no Christians or Jews allowed) despite the fact that tens of thousands of qualified Christian translators who have fled Islamic oppression are available. Army spokeswoman Julia Simpkins said no "soldiers were in danger" but then oddly added a statement to the effect that this is a "diversity" at all costs situation in which Christians are discriminated against in order to have Muslims in uniform. THE CONGRESS
CONGRESS STILL OUT - Congress took an extra week off because of the blizzards that hit Washington last week ... and wow ... that just happened to run into Presidents' Day, so Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided to take off this week as well. Let's get some honesty here ... the Democrats are in big trouble and Pelosi needs to send them home as often and for as long as possible between now and November so they can campaign to keep their seats. Congress is now set to reconvene on Monday, February 22, 2010 ... unless it snows again.
BYE-BYE BIPARTISAN JOBS BILL - With so many failures in the House and Senate for President Barack Obama, he desperately needed some bill to pass that was "bipartisan" to prove that Democrats really can work with Republicans. The agreed to bill was the $85 billion jobs legislation forged by Senators Max Baucus, a Montana Democrat, and Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican. It was introduced with much fanfare. A few hours later, Democrat Senate Leader Harry Reid tossed the weeks of work in the trash and put in a substitute bill that he will alow no amendments to. Even liberal writers at Time Magazine could not explain it. Fox News gave it a shot as well. I have my own theory, that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are smoking something odd in those locked rooms where they make all the deals.
CULTURE AND RELIGION
GLOBAL WARMING MELT DOWN - A few years ago the "Global Warming" religion changed its name to the "Climate Change" religion. The old name had a problem because there was no real proof of any global warming. (Barack Obama thinks global warming exists and is caused by CO2 and since 90% of the CO2 on the planet comes from termites, perhaps Obama plans a "war on termites?") Now we find evidence against global warming that is perhaps even more compelling than the "lost" data and the e-mails telling scientists to hide certain data. The grandfather of the global warming church, Phil Jones of East Anglia University, has now admitted that there has been no global warming for 15 years. He further confessed to the BBC that the "hockey stick" chart was not right because there was a medieval warming period that was equal to the one we had in the 1980s and 1990s. What will happen to all the global warming followers? They will just find another reason to impose socialism on the world, which was the real goal all along. The whole global warming scheme was a ploy to "equalize" the nations and transfer wealth. Read more on Jones
MAYDAY IN AMERICA - The Religious Freedom Coalition is a sponsor of May Day 2010. On May 1st of this year, Christian leaders of all denominations who love God will humble themselves and pray at the Lincoln memorial in Washington, DC for our nation and its leaders. This event is not to impress the media or those in Washington, but to reach the heart of God. Thousands of people will join in Washington with leaders to pray for our nation. There are buses scheduled from many states including New York, Florida, Texas and Missouri. Please be a part of this great prayer movement if you can join us. Learn more

MORE CHRISTIANS KILLED IN IRAQ - "We don't want elections, we don't want representatives, we don't want our rights, we just want to be alive," said Father Baasil Abdul Noor, a priest at Mar Behnam Church in Northern Iraq. This week four Christians have been murdered in the Mosul area. The latest was a 20-year-old student, Wissam George, an Assyrian Christian who was studying to be a teacher. Many of the Christians in Northern Iraq fled Baghdad and other southern areas seeking the simple right to live. Pray for the Christians of Iraq. Read more
THE UNFAIR TRIAL OF GEERT WILDERS - The trial of Geert Wilders continues in the Netherlands. Prosecutors want to put this Member of Parliament in jail for being critical of Islam. In Canada MACLEANS ran an op-ed called "The absurd trial of Geert Wilders" and pointed out that this repression of free speech happens in Canada as well. There is no doubt that Geert Wilders is a victim of both political and religious persecution. If his right of free speech is denied and he is jailed it will mark the end of freedom in the EU. An interesting perspective appeared in the Jerusalem Post. Until Geert Wilders is given his rights we should all boycott Dutch products including Shell Oil.
WESTERN CIVILIZATION ON TRIAL - The trial of Member of Parliament Geert Wilders is not an issue for just the Netherlands. It is not just Geert Wilders that is on trial, it is Western civilization. If Muslims in Western nations can have people put in jail for "insulting" their religion, it is a statement of surrender of not only Christianity, but the secular West. More at NRO
