THE PRESIDENCY

OBAMA AND ISRAEL - President Barack Obama walked out of a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to have dinner privately this past Tuesday night. The PM and his aides were directed out of the Oval Office to the Roosevelt Room, which is rather small, to wait and confer. After Obama finished dinner he summoned Netanyahu back to the Oval Office. The Israeli delegation, fearing that their conversations were being recorded, said little of importance to each other while waiting for Obama to dine. Obama further insulted Prime Minister Netanyahu by refusing to have their picture taken together. Obama has no problem doing cuddly smiling photos with Marxist dictator Hugo Chavez, and he even bows and gives hugs to murderous Saudi royalty who trample the rights of their citizens. Obama believes the anti-Semitic rhetoric of his pastor of twenty years, Jeremiah Wright who claimed that all the world's problems could be solved by forcing Israel to its 1948 borders. Once that is done, Obama naively believes, the fanatical attacks by Muslims on the United States will stop.

OBAMA'S ABORTION ORDER - One day after a lavish White House ceremony signing his "health care reform" law, President Obama signed an executive order that he was forced to agree to, which bars federally funded abortions. The signing was behind closed doors and no photographs or media were present. As his self imposed deadline approached for the vote on the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act," President Obama was forced to cut a deal with pro-life Democrat Congressman Bart Stupak and his group. Even though Democrats hold a near 40 seat margin in the House, the bill passed by only three votes. Without the otherwise very liberal pro-life Stupak and his group the bill would not have passed. THE CONGRESS

CHURCH SERVICE IN THE CAPITOL - On Sunday, March 21st at 11:00 AM, Members of Congress held a church service in Statuary Hall (the old House chamber) in the Capitol. Only members of Congress, their spouses and staff were permitted to attend. The church service was called by Republican leaders because Speaker Nancy Pelosi had demanded a Sunday vote for the "historic" Obama Care entitlement program. Members felt they would not be able to attend church in their home districts and still make it back in time for votes. Because the Chapel in the Capitol is far too small to hold the number of people that would be in attendance, the church service was held in Statuary Hall.

This was an historic moment. To my knowledge no church service has been held in the Capitol Building itself since 1868. It has been well over 150 years since the Capitol Building was used for a church service; however, from the time it was built until after the Civil War, weekly church services were held there. Congressman Randy Forbes, the founder of the Prayer Caucus, organized the service and officiated at it. My good friend Todd Akin led the singing of Amazing Grace.

OBAMA AND THE SUICIDE BOMBER MEMORIAL - Congressman Eric Cantor (R-VA) pointed to Obama's amazing double standard in his treatment of Israel. The congressman pointed out that during VP Biden's visit to Israel, the Palestinian Authority unveiled a statue to a suicide bomber who had killed 38 innocent civilians including 13 children at a market. Apparently Obama and Biden were perfectly OK with the public statue to this mass murderer being dedicated during Biden's visit. Yet they were bent on punishing Israel for building homes for Jews in their own capital city. Read Cantor's statement.

MOB STOPS CHURCH CONSTRUCTION - An Islamic mob in Indonesia has stopped the construction of Santa Maria Immaculata Catholic Church in West Jakarta. Meanwhile government officials stopped work on the Indonesian Christian Church (GKI) building in West Java. Indonesia is the "moderate Muslim" nation in which President Barack Obama received his early education. Read more

MORE CHRISTIANS MURDERED IN NIGERIA - ABUJA, NIGERIA (Worthy News)-- A group of Muslim herdsmen disguised as soldiers murdered at least 10 more Christians in the same area as the massacre of hundred o Christians less than two weeks before. The atrocities committed against the Christians are too brutal to repeat on this page. Although half the population is Christian, Nigeria has a Muslim president who has done nothing to stop the violence. Read more
