PRESIDENT
THE 911 JIHAD ATTACK- On the Morning of the six anniverary of the Islamic Jihad attack on the United States President and Mrs. Bush along with Vice President and Mrs. Cheney held a ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House that included a moment of silence. The White House prepared a special Internet page that includes information on the rememberence of the 9-11 Jidah attack upon us. Click here for White House 9-11 site
THE HOUSE
ROSH HASHANAH - Because of the Jewish New Year celebration, Rosh Hashanah, there were no votes in the House beginning at sundown on the 12th. The House will not resume normal business until sundown on the 17th.
ATTACKING THE HONORABLE - For their part in commemorating the Islamic Jihad attack on the United States, Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi participated in attacks on an honorable man who has spent almost all of his adult life in the service of our nation. General Petraeus came to Capitol Hill to report on the military progress in Iraq as commander of forces there. He was attacked as if he were a corrupt politician. Only a radical such as Nancy Pelosi could orchestrate such brutality against an honorable member of the armed services.
MAJORITY WHIP BLUNT - In comparison to the hysterical attacks against our military by Speaker Nancy Pelosi a heart felt remembrance of the events of 9-11 was issued by Republican Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri. Click here to read.
THE SENATE
ROSH HASHANAH - Because of the Jewish New Year celebration, Rosh Hashanah, there were no votes in the House beginning at sundown on the 12th. The House will not resume normal business until sundown on the 17th.
SENATOR REID KNEW OF ATTACK AD - Extremist political organization Moveon.org, which is financed by drug legalization activist billionaire George Soros, placed a contemptible ad in the New York Times referring to General Petraeus as "General Betray Us." It is now clear from off the record comments by Democrat staffers that Senator Reid's office and other Democrats had at least some knowledge of this contemptible attack and did nothing to stop it. Despite the fact that George Soros is a billionaire the cost of the ad was reduced from $181,000 by the New York Times to just $61,000.
RELIGION AND CULTURE
REMEMBERING 9-11 FIRST HAND- On the first anniversary of the 9-11 Jihad attack on the United States I wrote an article centered on my personal experiences of that horrible day. On that day I drove by the Pentagon just as Flight 77 slammed into it. Ironically, I was on my way to a press conference with Senator Brownback (R-KS) to promote the Sudan Peace Act, which would have punished the terrorist Islamic government of Sudan for the mass murder of Christians. Wall Street and the White House were on the other side of the issue at the time, and resisted confronting the Sudanese government for fear of affecting the oil markets. The remembrance is very personal in nature, but still one I believe others should still read today. To read my 9-11 Jihad anniversary remembrance in PDF please click here.
INTERNATIONAL
IRAQI CHRISTIAN REFUGEES UPDATE - Our State Department and the Bush Administration supports special programs for Shiite and Sunni police forces (read that as militias) in Iraq. When a State Department official was asked if the Christian population which is being decimated could have a moderate police force the officer replied in shock, "We can't promote the creation of a Christian Zion." That is the entire problem inside the State Department. There is such a fear of "offendng" Muslims that Christians are allowed to be raped, robbed and murdered in Iraq.
The Religious Freedom Coalition is working to bring to the world's attention the plight of the Iraqi Christians. Please click here to help with this mission.

THE PLEDGE - My new book, The Pledge: One Nation Under God has been released and is now available online and at bookstores. The book has a forward by Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) who is the primary sponsor of the Pledge Protection Act to keep "under God" in the Pledge. Please order The Pledge from the RFC bookstore, as the funds will be used to help fight to keep "under God" in the Pledge. Click here or on Image to learn more.
CHRISTIAN INTERNET STORE - There are literally tens of thousands of Christian theme items available at our affiliate store including jewelry from the Holy Land. It is a great place to shop for gifts. The store is located at www.rfcstore.com. Please help us with our various projects on Capitol Hill and in the Holy Land by shopping at our affiliate Christian Superstore .
