PRESIDENT
THE SOVIET EXPERT IN A NON SOVIET ERA- Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is a true expert on the Soviet Union. Unfortunately for President Bush and the rest of the nation, the Soviet Union has not existed for nearly two decades. Rice has no clue about Middle Eastern affairs and has no hint as to the core beliefs of Islam. As a result she is actually calling for a "peace" conference in Washington of Islamic nations including terrorist states. Rice actually believes that an Islamist who signs a treaty can be trusted. President Bush would better serve himself by getting someone at State who is current on world affairs and not someone whose mind is still in the bygone era of Soviet style politics.
FAMILY DAY - On September 20th President George W. Bush issued his annual proclamation for "Family Day." This is an interesting proclamation that promotes the family as the cornerstone of civilization. Click here to read.
THE HOUSE
A REAL CIRCUS - San Francisco radical Nancy Pelosi has turned the United States House of Representatives into a circus where virtually nothing gets done. The House has become a mere podium for extremist proclamations blaming conservatives for everything from global warming to Islamic terror attacks. It is virtually impossible to work on any worthwhile legislation that does good by the American people. Pelosi takes her marching orders from the MoveOn Party!
THE MOVEON PARTY - At least one congressman has received over $500,000 from MoveOn.org. Take a look at this list and you will begin to understand the influence MoveOn has. The MoveOn.org party bought the last election and now they run the show!
THE SENATE
PRO-LIFE DOD AMENDMENT - Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) has introduced a unique pro-life amendment to the the Department of Defense appropriations bill. The Innocent Life amendment would prohibit the execution, while she is pregnant, of a woman sentenced to death by the federal government or any state. Because of long trial periods and appeals the situation would probably never arise; however, the bill refers to the "child in utero" and presents a real dilemma to pro-abortion Democrats. Most Democrats see no problem with the killing of unborn babies, but are against the execution of murderers and terrorists. Click here to read amendment.
SENATE CONDEMNS "BETRAY US" AD - The Senate voted to condemn the "Betray Us" advertisement placed in the New York Times by extremist political organization Moveon.org, which is financed by drug legalization activist billionaire George Soros. Although the Senate resolution did not mention Moveon.org by name, the intention was clear. Hillary Clinton, who has received many millions of dollars from Moveon.org, voted against the resolution. Other Democrat presidential hopefuls didn't show up to vote. The vote results made it clear that there are now three major parties in the United States: the Republican Party, the Democratic Party and the Moveon.org Party. Many Democrat leaders are in shock that Moveon.org executive director Eli Pariser now controls about half of the Democrat Senators. Click here to see how your Senator voted!
ULTRASOUND REQUIREMENT FOR ABORTION - U.S. Senator Sam Brownback introduced the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act this week. The legislation would require a doctor to perform an ultrasound and then share the results with each pregnant woman patient and allow her to view the images before he could perform an abortion.
RELIGION AND CULTURE
NEW YORK TIMES ADMITS TO BIAS - The Public Editor of the The New York Times admitted that the "Betray Us" advertisement attacking Gen. David Petraeus was sold to MoveOn.org at a discount rate it was not entitled to receive The editor further said that the Times violated its own advertising policies by published the ad.
